ACCA & ICPAS Accountancy Information Forum
ACCA & ICPAS will be hosting a forum for members of the public to provide more information on becoming professional accountants through the ACCA/ICPAS Joint Examination Scheme (JES).
The ACCA and ICPAS JES had been operating successfully since 1983 and thousands of joint-scheme students have since qualified as professional accountants through this partnership. The ACCA/ICPAS JES offers aspiring accountants an excellent combination of relevant and practical accounting and finance training, helping to fill the acute shortage of qualified accountants in Singapore .
Opportunity has always been a key factor in the ACCA/ICPAS JES. Regardless of a person's educational background, there is always a route to qualify as a professional accountant. There are currently about 16,000 students who are registered to pursue the ACCA/ICPAS JES and these students come from all backgrounds. Every year, about 800 students will complete the programme and qualify as affiliates. In the recent June 2008 ACCA examination session yet another 357 affiliate members have completed their final ACCA exams and will move on to become professional accountants
If you are interested to find out more about a career in accountancy and wish to find out more about the ACCA/ICPAS JES, please make sure that you do not miss out on this opportunity. The forum will be held at the HDB Hub Convention Centre at Toa Payoh on the 11 th of November 2008 from 6.30pm to 9pm.
